Week of April 8, 2019

Grade 6 has had a fantastic first week!

For UOI, students have been reviewing the learner profiles. Students were divided into two teams and created a series of video skits showcasing each of the learner profiles. They are being assessed on each of the following skills: social (accepting responsibility), self-management (time-management), and communicating (presenting). Next week, students will grade themselves and others according to the given rubric.

Also, grade 6 presented the learner profile quizzes they created. Each team went to two primary classes and play their quizzes with the hosting class.

In English, students took a series of diagnostic assessments in phonics, vocabulary, grammar, writing, and reading comprehension. Next week, students will create personal goals based on their results. Also, students will create data notebooks, where they keep track of their own progress.
