Our focus for English this week has been the use of figures of speech in poetry. Students created an onomatopoeia pop art piece to show their know of this figure of speech using a popular art form.

Student completed their art movement projects and we were very pleased with the final results! Next week, we will ask primary students their opinions on these various art movements.

 

                     
                         


 

 

              

Week of January 6, 2020

UOI

Grade 6 continued their unit of how beauty standards have changed over time. In order to gain a deeper understanding of this, they explored different art movements. Each student was assigned two art movements and create a poster and art piece about these.

 
 

 During term 3, students have been focusing on executing their actions for our upcoming PYP exhibition. Jun's action involved teaching grade 5 how to make a self-watering plant container.
