Week of December 10, 2018

In English, students learned about the different types of presentational devices. We analyzed the presentational devices included in a few magazine covers. We discussed why certain color, font, and image choices were made.

In Social Studies, students were given a list of different functions that a settlement can serve and they were to research places around the world that primarily serve that function.

In Science, students worked on news reports on a disaster involving the human use of an energy source: oil, coal, or nuclear power. Groups were to detail the effects that these disasters have on human health as well as the environment.
